BREAST LIFTING

Description of the procedure::

Breast lifting involves removing excess skin and transferring the wart-aureola complex upwards. These treatments are always associated with leaving more or less visible scars. It is recommended to perform these treatments after planned pregnancy and feeding because there is a risk of damage to the leads that lead out breast glands and complications associated with it. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and lasts from 2-4 hours. Depending on the desired effect, cuts are made around the aureole, connecting the aureole with the subpectoral furrow and in the area of ​​the subpectoral furrow. If there is such a need, a part of the gland is resected.

Post-treatment recommendations::

After the procedure, if necessary, the patient stays under specialist medical care for about 1 hour or the patient can go home  in other cases. During this time, dressings are changed and the patient’s condition is controlled. Then, the patient should report for a change of dressings for a few days. Sutures are removed from 6 to 14 days. In some cases, the patient may need to correct scars 3-6 months after the surgery.

Time of incapacity for work::

Usually, there is no need to stop working. It is recommended to limit physical exercise for 2 – 4 weeks after the procedure.

Required tests:  blood group, blood count, coagulation markers (APTT / INR), p / hepatitis B vaccination, electrolytes (sodium and potassium)
