Labiaplasty is a procedure that allows to change the shape and size of women’ labia, whose abnormal size or appearance causes emotional stress associated with undressing in front of the pool, fitness or in intimate situations. Significant hypertrophy of the labia may also hinder hygiene and cause chronic irritation and inflammation of the mucous membranes of this area.

During the procedure of labioplasty, that is a reduction of smaller labia, there is the excision of excess tissues with the suturing of the resulting defects with absorbable sutures.

After the treatment, it is necessary to maintain scrupulous hygiene and cover the wounds with an absorbent layer (swabs, sanitary napkins). The patient should avoid using tampons, tight underwear and intercourse, for approx. 2 – 3 weeks.

Return to work and full activity is possible after about 3 days.
