PHIMOSIS – a narrowing of the ring foreskin preventing (phimosis) or hindering (partial phimosis) the pulling of the foreskin. The phimosis is also considered to be a condition where the foreskin is allowed to lead to the glans sulcus but causes pressure and pain during the erection.
The treatment of liquidation of the phimosis is simple and short. It usually involves performing a surgical procedure by removing part or all of the foreskin. It is possible, as a result of the procedure, to obtain a partial covering of the glans by the foreskin in a significant number of patients. In mild cases, plastic surgery extending the foreskin outlet is used. The applied sutures from absorbable materials do not require removal after the procedure.
