Description of the procedure::

PHIMOSIS – a narrowing of the ring foreskin preventing (phimosis) or hindering (partial phimosis) the pulling of the foreskin. The phimosis is also considered to be a condition where the foreskin is allowed to lead to the glans sulcus but causes pressure and pain during the erection.

The treatment of liquidation of the phimosis is simple and short. It usually involves performing a surgical procedure by removing part or all of the foreskin.  It is possible, as a result of the procedure, to obtain a partial covering of the glans by the foreskin in a significant number of patients. In mild cases, plastic surgery extending the foreskin outlet is used. The applied sutures from absorbable materials do not require removal after the procedure.

Post-treatment recommendations::

After the surgery, a dressing is put on, and it should be changed after 24 hours. A penis should be kept in an upright position to reduce swelling after the surgery. Men who have had their phimosis liquidated should stop their intercourse for a month.

Time of incapacity for work::

Usually, there is no need to stop working. It is recommended to limit physical exercise for 2 – 3 weeks and not to have sexual intercourse for a period of at least 4 weeks.:
