pregnancy, diabetes, cardiac pacemaker, coagulation disorders epilepsy. Active viral or bacterial changes on the skin. Use of medicines that reduce blood clotting, anticoagulants (e.g., aspirin), steroids, photosensitizing medicines, certain antibiotics, doxycycline, vitamin A derivatives, some cardiac medicines, some herbs (marigold, St. John’s wort) and retinol creams.
